Hello Mr. Gary. Thank you for sharing all this amazing information! How wonderful to learn from good resources that actually know the chemistry composition. Very helpful! Is there any tips of how quickly modify the soil? My pH is 6-6.5 for blueberries. It’s late May which won’t allow me to plant them in the ground, but I will need to repot them with home made soil (which I don’t have/know about it yet) but I will need to 1) create my new own acid soil and 2) modify my soil before transplanting again to the ground in Oct-Nov. This is for well stablished 5 year old plants I just purchased 1 week ago. :) any help or advise?

Hi I have a Persian lime tree in a container it produces flowers and small fruit but my fruit keeps falling off. I’m not sure what to do to help them stay on. It only gave me one good lime last year. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!

Prune every single year, even when you get nothing from young trees. I pruned my 5 trees for ten years and got ONE pear! But this year, tenth year, I see pears aplenty!

My pH was “10”!!! I collect rainwater and use this for spraying. For about 10 years I had pathetic crops until I watched this video. Last year I corrected the pH and I had an excellent crop. Thanks Gary!

It is early May in Wisconsin and my crab apple hasn’t bloomed or leafed yet. Some branches are dead, which I have pruned. I also have rabbit damage. I fear it is dying. Is there anything I can do to save this 3 year old tree? Via fertilizer or food?

Hello- I have a young 2" caliper crabapple tree I just brought home from the nursery. During the transport, some branches were damaged. If a branch broke near the middle, should I prune it right at the break point or prune it back to the branch it grew from? Or back to an outward facing bud?

When you transplanted them you said it was later in the spring than ideal AND didn’t mention why other than “I think i can pull it off”. What was the danger? Had they already budded, as mine have, and you were concerned about loosing blossoms/fruit? Also why not add peat moss or pine needles to lower pH? Thank you!

Not bad at all for courageous big cuts ...It gives light to the tree.and a basic form to prune it back to form each year. The last thinning of 1/3 of the branches should have shown smaller dangling branches cut from the undersides of cluttered branches... So that what remains is "Streamlined" and able to hold fruit where light and air can reach it.
